When Care isn't Convenient, Convenience is Care.

Over a long career of serving amputee patients, one thing I've always found to be true is that care may not always be convenient, but convenience is always care. What I mean is, we know that for patients, care can be difficult at times – especially for patients with mobility issues. It's not always easy to get to an appointment. And it's certainly not always easy to do the things we ask you to do as part of your care. So when we can make it easier for you, in any way, that is care.

In fact, we have made it a key part of our care for you to find new ways to make that care easier and more convenient. Just a few recent examples:

• Our Rapid Ambulation Methodology is designed to measure, build, fit and adjust a new prosthesis for you in ONE visit, reducing wait times and removing the hassle of multiple appointments.

• We have travel arrangements with a number of transportation providers to make it easier for you to get to appointments. One particularly exciting option these days is the partnerships rideshare companies like Uber and Lyft are building with healthcare insurers and providers that fold payment for transportation right into insurance payments.

• Our Virtual Visit system means you may not need to worry about transportation at all. It allows you to receive care remotely so you save the time, money and hassles of traveling to an appointment.

And we're always looking for new ways we can add convenience to your care. So if you have any thoughts or suggestions, we'd love to hear them. Feel free to share your thoughts in the comments section or on Facebook or Twitter.
