Your prosthetist will be part of your journey for years to come, so it’s worth taking the time to find someone you trust and feel comfortable with.

Quality care should go beyond simply fitting a prosthesis. Look for a prosthetist who listens to

your goals, takes the time to understand your lifestyle, explains your options clearly, and is

committed to supporting you throughout the process. Your needs are unique, and your care

should be too.

Don’t be afraid to ask questions. How much experience do they have with patients like you? What happens if your prosthesis needs an adjustment? Will you have easy access to your care team when you need support? Most importantly, do you feel heard and respected?

Also consider other important questions pertaining to your care, like: Can they clearly explain

their protocols and approaches? To what degree are they able to customize devices and care to your individual needs? Do they embrace new technologies that can improve your quality of life? Can you speak with any of their current patients?

get to know them and they should take the time to get to know you, understand what matters

most to you, and provide personalized care from the initial fitting through every stage of your
