Meet our team.
We take great pride in our team, in the care we deliver and how we truly care for our patients' needs in our welcoming and state-of-the-art facility. Helping our patients through their challenges and seeing them live active, fulfilling lives is both a gift and an incredibly
rewarding experience. Learn more about what our team does and our backgrounds below.

John-Paul Donovan, CPO, CEO and Owner
ABC Board Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist and CEO of AtlanticProCare. He founded AtlanticProCare more than 30 years ago and has practiced here in Portland for nearly 40 years. JP received his degree from the University of Texas-Southwestern Medical Center and completed residencies at NOPCO at Boston Children's Hospital and in Portsmouth, NH. He has served as the chairman of the CAD-CAM Society of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists and has lectured at the University of New England, Doctorate of Physical Therapy program for years. Through caring for patients day to day as well as managing the growth of the practice, he has helped many patients build lifelong relationships with the care team at AtlanticProCare.

Braylan Wenzel, MSPO, CPO, Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist
Braylan has 7 years of professional P&O experience. She specializes in all amputation levels and is proficient in all contemporary designs. She also leads our Scoliosis management program and has developed new and unique designs to help her patients succeed in their treatment. Originally planning to be a special ed teacher, Braylan discovered early on that she was more passionate about P&O. To her, it's more than a job, it's an opportunity to change people's lives, and her enthusiasm for it shows in every patient visit.

Tara Jackson, MSPO, CPO, Certified Prosthetist-Orthotist
After scrapping plans to be a Physical Therapist in favor of P&O, Tara spent 6 years in both large corporate and small private P&O environments, where she grew into leadership roles before joining us to develop new relationships with provider-partners and build our growing care programs in both P&O. She's passionate about problem-solving in the service of others, a trait she credits her father with helping to instill. She's also passionate about her dog, Tyr, a double amputee she was able to adopt as a rescue from South Korea.

Gracie Rink, Prosthetist-Orthotist Assistant
An orthotic patient herself at one point, Gracie has seen firsthand the difference her chosen career can make in people's lives, and she enjoys getting to bring that experience to patients every day. Working closely with and under the supervision of the CPO, she is often first into the clinic room with patients. She performs AtlanticProCare Telehealth visits, as well as testing on patients, outcomes measures, patient education, and manages much of the behind-the-scenes logistics when implementing the patient’s treatment plan.

Lawren Young, Care Coordinator
Prior to joining us, Lawren held roles as varied as social worker, faculty consultant, patient services representative and front office manager, but the common denominator has been looking out for the needs of others, whether patients, clients or coworkers. Which makes her a perfect fit here. She’s the person that keeps our practice humming. She manages the scheduling, patient insurance coordination, medical records compliance, front office duties and interfaces with our billing team. It's no wonder that, like our Canine Morale Officer, she always enjoys a good nap!

Roguey, Canine Morale Officer
Roguey is certain that the office could not function without her daily attention to everyone's need for furry friendship. When not napping, playing or handling her duties, she is always ready with a wet nose or a sloppy kiss.
