James Richardson publishes his new book. 

On a Sunday morning in 2003 History teacher James Richardson was driving down US 41 with his 2 children when he drifted across the center line right into the path of an oncoming tractor-trailer.  His kids made it out with minor injuries but James was in a coma and had to be air-lifted to the hospital. After months in a coma and undergoing 18 separate operations he was finally able to go home.  Unfortunately he faced another challenge.  While in the nursing home, his wife had taken his money and his children and left him, telling his children that he was dead. 

With no where else to turn he came home to live with his parents in Maine. We met James when he returned to Maine and have worked with him to develop a prosthesis using the C-leg computer assisted knee. Now, despite the huge physical and mental hurdles, James has returned to teaching after working hard to master the challenges of returning to walking and independent living.

James has also written a book about his painful and compelling story and is currently working with a publisher to bring it to fruition.  To get information on his compelling story click here.
