John Donovan is an exceptional and well respected clinician with over 15 years experience in the fields of Prosthetics and Orthotics. With John's direction, AtlanticProCare provides Orthotic and Prosthetic Services to all of the major area hospitals. John is a lecturer on Prosthetics at the University of New England's Masters level Physical Therapy program and he has held leadership roles in National Organizations over the years.
As the Clinical Director of AtlanticProCare John has been exploring, developing and refining prosthetic techniques for many years that industry journals are just now beginning to recognize as "state of the art". John firmly believes in the need to match the right type of prosthesis to each patient. He will often spend a tremendous amount of time getting to know a person and what their hopes and aspirations are so that the design of the prosthesis from concept to components to materials is exactly right for that individual and their lifestyle. John has had tremendous success improving the quality of many people's lives by redesigning poorly conceived or poorly executed prostheses.
John's approach to Prosthetics requires a tremendous breadth and depth to his knowledge making him a great resource if you have any questions regarding your current prosthesis, the experience of developing a prosthesis, or perhaps a new component that might be helpful for you. The bottom line is that there are good and bad prosthetic fits and if you don't have the right prosthesis it will impact your health, your well being and your ability to get back to your life.
